Lightweight - Croco Chain (Cast Iron & Clay Pipes)

We made this lightweight version of the Croco Chain for clients who are using a thinner shaft, or who have a smaller power source. It has all the features of the heavy weight chain with the exception of the weight. This allows you to achieve the same results with less torque.

The tool uses centrifugal force to center itself within the pipe so you can be assured that the entire inner surface of the pipe wall is clean.

This chain is similar to the X-tip, but the difference is in the shape of the hard bits. The teeth of the Croco chain have grooves in opposing directions which makes it less aggressive than the X-tip. It is perfect for preparation of pipe work for the lining process.

It is adjustable so you could clean a pipe of a smaller diameter if you spread the connection hubs further apart. We make them from stainless steel to prevent oxidation, and each chain consists of 3 individual chains with the exception of the smaller diameter pipes for sizes 32mm to 50mm, these chains consist of one or two chains depending on your selection.

Perfect for rust removal, calcium build-up and tree root removal in pipes and simultaneously suitable for grinding obstacles in cast iron, concrete, copper, vitrified clay and steel pipes. More experienced users report that they use these chains in UG PVC pipes as they do not keep them stationary for long enough for the hard metal bits to damage the PVC.

They mounts to a 6mm (1/4"), 8mm (5/16"),10mm (3/8") and 12mm (1/2") flexible shaft with hex screws.

Sizes range from Ø32mm (2″) to Ø150mm (6″).

This chain would be perfect to use with Picote Mini Cleaner, Mini Miller, Milwakuee M18 FUEL High Speed Flexible Shaft Machine, Ridgid K9-102 and K9-204 FlexShaft® Machines because they use 6mm and 8mm shafts.
