Mainly used for shower and basin drain pipes or any smaller pipework with multiple bends and junctions. Most clients report that they use this kit on day-to-day toilet blockages too. The reason for this is that the tool is lightweight and compact, so it can easily fit into a toolbox, and is set up in seconds.
Perfect for removing fat deposits in pipes connected to grease traps, or for removing soft blockages in bath waste pipes.
The shaft is covered with a chemical and heat resistant sleeve which prevents damage to porcelain, so there is no need to remove a pan in order to reach a soft blockage in close proximity to the toilet.
The 6mm (1/4") shaft included in this kit is our most flexible shaft, and yet our shaft design does not compromise on rigidity. This will prevent the coil effect on the inner wall of larger pipes over long distances which is common with more flexible shafts.
The shaft has no sleeve bearings which could get caught on sharp bends or elbow fittings in the smaller pipes.
The kit includes:
6mm Flexible shaft
Rotator shaft socket to connect the flexible shaft to your power drill
Mini Drain Chain 40-50 mm pipe 6mm (1/4") flex shaft
Plain Chain Knocker (no drill head or hard metal tips) - 32mm (1,26")
Plain Chain Knocker (no drill head or hard metal tips) - 50mm (2")
Before you order the longest length possible, consider this:
Most experienced users order the kit with a short shaft for everyday use and supplement it with a secondary shaft and connector. The advantage to this is that on a day-to-day basis, you carry less with you into your workspace, then if you need extra length you can fetch your secondary shaft from your vehicle and connect it to the one you are working with. A second advantage to having two separate shafts is that should you accidentally kink the one you are working with then you have a backup available immediately.
The 6mm shaft delivers best performance in lengths under 15 meters (49.21ft). Longer lengths are more suitable for softer blockages such as grease traps.

Product pictures may vary in colour and design depending on the size and diameter that you order
Aviation law prohibits us from delivering products which could be considered flammable so we send the shafts without lubricant in the sleeve.
Please be sure to lubricate your flexible shaft before using it, and then check the lubrication every few weeks. This not only ensures the longevity of your shaft, but also makes it more efficient over longer distances. Here is a video we made on how to lubricate your shaft:
