This kit will open blockages in less time than it would take to set up your high pressure jetting machine. The tools are lightweight, and can be transported in an elevator so you will have more options available when cleaning a communal stack in multistory buildings.

Whilst the chains are intended for use in PVC (ABS) pipes, they can be used in cast iron and vitrified clay pipes too. They will not be as effective as the chains with hard metal bits fused to the chain links, but they will get the job done.

The chains have the added advantage of a crown drill head in the front, meant for cutting roots, or grind up a failed liner within a PVC pipe whilst simultaneously preventing damage to the pipe wall.

Each tool head is made up of three individual chains which use centrifugal force to centre the tool inside the pipe. They are made from stainless steel to prevent oxidization and mount easily to the flexible shaft, with set screws.

The chains are adjustable, so it is possible to clean a wider range of pipe diameters with the same chain.

The opening diameter of the drill head is 25mm (1")

Disadvantage - The crown drill head is aggressive, and could damage a PVC (ABS) pipe when it reaches a bend (or elbow). To overcome this, simply start full RPM rotation before and after you have navigated past the bend. Alternatively, you could order the plain chain knocker without the drill head.

The kit includes:

  • A flexible shaft complete with sleeve and friction bearings to prevent dirt from getting between the shaft and the sleeve. The sleeve is heat and chemical resistant, and offers the perfect combination of rigidity and flexibility whilst maintaining a light weight.
  • Rotator shaft socket to connect the flexible shaft to your power drill
  • Plain Chain Knocker (with drill head) - 100mm (4")
  • Plain Chain Knocker (with drill head) - 150mm (6")

Before you order the longest length possible, consider this:

Most experienced users order the kit with a short shaft for everyday use and supplement it with a secondary shaft and connector. The advantage to this is that on a day-to-day basis, you carry less with you into your workspace, then if you need extra length you can fetch your secondary shaft from your vehicle and connect it to the one you are working with. A second advantage to having two separate shafts is that should you accidentally kink the one you are working with then you have a backup available immediately.

Points to note:

These products are intended to be used by trained professionals in the sewer cleaning trade. They do not come with instructions. If you would like training please make contact with us, and we will guide you.

Product pictures may vary in color and design depending on the size and diameter that you order.

Aviation law prohibits us from delivering products which could be considered flammable so we send the shafts without lubricant in the sleeve.

Please be sure to lubricate your flexible shaft before using it, and then check the lubrication every few weeks. This not only ensures the longevity of your shaft, but also makes it more efficient over longer distances. Here is a video we made on how to lubricate your shaft:
