Ridgid K9 204 users often report that standard Flexshaft setups do not always meet their performance requirements, particularly when working across different pipe diameters and conditions.

While a 8mm shaft is well suited for 75mm pipes, larger 100mm pipes often benefit from a thicker shaft that can deliver higher torque. However, in 100mm systems with multiple bends, the more flexible 8mm shaft can still perform better than heavier alternatives due to improved maneuverability.

Our 8mm shafts are manufactured using spring-grade steel wound in opposing directions, allowing them to deliver equal torque in both forward and reverse rotation.

As a result of this performance advantage, many Ridgid K9 204 users began retrofitting their machines with our flexible shafts. This demand led us to develop the Alternative K9 204 Connector, designed to securely attach to our shafts using either a hydraulic press or a handheld crimping tool.

For customers seeking a ready-to-use option, we offer the alternative K9 204 flexible shaft with the adapter already crimped in place. However, this item is for clients who are interested in having a few additional adapters on hand for when they need to quickly replace their connector. Why replace the whole shaft when you could just slice off a small section of damaged shaft and just replace the connector.

This way you can use the same shaft multiple times without needing to buy a whole new shaft every time the connector breaks. This minimizes downtime and keeps your operation running smoothly.
