Description
Feedback from users of the Ridgid K9 102 Flexshaft machine indicates that the standard shaft setup can be problematic. Most users say that the Flexshaft is not rigid enough, and tends to coil up inside the pipe when subjected to higher amounts of torque. As a result, many customers have chosen to retrofit their machines using our flexible shafts. This prompted us to create an alternative K9 102 connector that would crimp onto our flexible shaft with a hydraulic press, or hand crimping tool.
While we provide a complete replacement flexible shaft for the K9 102 with the adapter already crimped, this adapter-only option is ideal for clients seeking an extra attachment.
We recommend keeping a few extra adapters on hand in case of shaft failure on-site. This allows you to quickly replace the connector and continue working, instead of waiting several days for a replacement to arrive.
The reason for this recommendation is that, in the Ridgid K9 102, the shaft passes through a sharp bend shortly after the power source connection. This area is subject to increased stress and heat build-up, which can weaken the shaft over time. As a result, failure typically occurs at this point.
We also have the alternative K9 204 and alternative K9 306 models, which are available in our store.
Important Notice
We do not sell brand-name replacement parts, and this is not an original Ridgid product.
These adapters are made in our workshop for our clients who have requested them to be used on our flexible shafts in their existing Ridgid sewer cleaning machine. We do not encourage customers to replace their Ridgid machines with our tools, but rather use our tools to complement your existing Ridgid setup.
